Final DigiPak Cd Cover Design

For the DigiPak front cover, I decided to keep the theme colour red. This is because from my research I discovered red is a commonly used colour within the music industry for rock bands and artists within there cd covers and music videos. An example of this would be Foo Fighters 'The Pretender' Music video. the image used for the front cover captures that the members of the band are from a rock band as opposed to a Pop band. This is because they are all looking directly at the camera, seriously and also are wearing darker colours such as black and grey, as opposed to pink or yellow as the pop band 'Little Mix' would wear.

For the digipak cd tray, I decided to use a 'behind the scenes' style image. This is because many other bands decide to do this, as it lets their fans discover secretive footage they may not have seen usually. It also looks like the band are in the process of practising, which enables the audience to again see something they may not usually see.
I also decided to make the image black and white as this creates a more vintage style for the cd as a whole. Despite the cd covering a lot of the cd tray image, I believe that the audience would like to discover this image by taking the cd off of it.

This is the final, finished design for the 'insert' or 'booklet' inside the Digipak. I have kept the same colour scheme (black and red) because I believe these colours link well with the rock genre, based on my research. The image I have chosen for the insert expresses the passion of the music and also the album from the band and I think this works well when trying to sell this album too. I think this insert works well for the rock genre and also works well with my band's overall look.

The back cover of my Digipak is very minimalist as I believe this works well with the overall rock genre theme. The audience is therefore drawn to the image which I think creates a mood for the audience to endure. The image itself fits with the rock genre, as it looks emotional but also edgy. I also think that the arrangement from the front cover to the back cover works well, as you have the front cover displaying their faces and the back displaying their backs. This creates a sense of uniqueness because I have not seen any band do this, especially a rock band.
