Initial Ideas - Developed
My initial ideas began with me deciding on 3 distinctive locations. These locations included: A drama studio, a school and a park. Despite being set on these ideas, I think that as my work progressed, I decided that we may need more than three locations and that the originally decided locations perhaps didn't fit the 'rock genre' criteria perfectly. Taking this into account, below are the final, chosen locations for my music video.

Drama Studio

Housing Estate
Cycle Path
I continued with the formation idea adapted from 'The Pretender' music video by Foo Fighters. I kept the main lead singer at the front of the formation, similarly to Foo Fighters and the instruments behind them. This works well because the main singer is the more well-known individual in the band and so the audience will need to identify him at the front to make it easier for them to identify the band as a whole. I also think it makes it easier for the audience to see the words being sung during the song and encourages them to sing along too.

The Pretender - Foo Fighters
Throughout the whole process of my coursework, I did not change the individuals in my music video. This is because, when I chose the 3 boys for my band I knew they fit the criteria. I only had one boy for each job/ instrument. For example, I had Conor as the main singer and he only sang. I believe this gave them less to do and made their performance greater as they can give it their all when performing. Despite this, Conor was also in the narrative aspect of the music video and I believe this worked well because in typical music videos the narrative is about the main singer.
