Most rock fans are usually males but there could also be some female fans. Some of the younger fans could be and smoking, drinking and lounging around listening to the music all day, meaning they don't have a job or don't have an education. This is because they are all about the music and believe that they do not need a job etc. Despite living in their bedrooms, these 'fans' would still find time to meet up with fellow fans of similar personas and share their love for the music. Younger adults or teenagers that are fans of 'rock' music, may also be fans of 'metal', 'heavy metal' and 'punk' music. Many of these types of music genres overlap with one another and so some songs may have 'rock' examples but also 'punk' examples too and so would be an example of  a 'Punk Rock' song.

Although many rock fans are younger, as most rock bands began several years ago, many of the fans have grown up alongside the bands and still will appreciate their music even after all this time. They may go to concerts, gigs and festivals just to keep up with old traditions and meet up still with fellow fans of the band.
