Locations for my music video

Location One

My first location is a drama studio within my school. This location has a big, open space in order to film in and also relates back to existing rock music video locations, such as: Foo Fighters' - The Pretender as they have a studio as their main (and only) location. Inside the drama studio, there were adjustable lights that enabled me to create effects such as the example shown below.
Having adjustable lights, allowed me to have the flexibility to increase or decrease a certain member of the band's visibility when playing and so made filming a lot easier to do. As there were also black curtains in the room too, this also enabled me to have an easier process when filming.

Location Two

My second location was a cycle path with the remains of a train station there. This location worked well for my narrative aspect within the music video. This is because my narrative is quite emotional and sad for the audience to watch and I wanted to emphasise this and by having the cycle path as a location it seemed abandoned and lonely, similar to my character in the narrative.

The remote location allowed me to shoot different shots of my character looking upset and also had various platforms and heights to work with. This then allowed me to end up with my final shot which fits in well with my chosen song and the genre of rock.
